Large lake forms near Nepal border, China warns of dam-break risk
Kathmandu, August 27 China’s Ministry of Water Resources has reported the formation of a large lake near the confluence of the Chhochen and Purepu Tsangpo rivers, close to the Nepal border.

Bhotekoshi flood leaves Nuwakot towns, infrastructure in ruins
Kathmandu, August 27 The devastating flood in the Bhotekoshi River has caused extensive physical damage in Nuwakot, destroying riverside settlements, towns and critical infrastructure along the Trishuli River.
